Keynote Speaker, Courtney Frazier with Colorado Tourism Office,
Vice-Chair, Board of Directors

Title: Spotlight on Colorado Tourism, Get More Involved

In 2014, Courtney Frazier was appointed to the Colorado Tourism Board of Directors by Governor John Hickenlooper. May of 2018, she was elected co-Vice Chair of the Colorado Tourism Office (CTO) Board. She also serves as the chair of the Destination Development Committee within the CTO. In addition, she serves on these committees/programs: Tourism Leadership Journey (2018 mentor), Visitor Services Task Force, Hospitality Advisory Group, and has participated in several international events on behalf of the CTO. In 2016, Courtney was asked to join the Colorado Agritourism Association (CAA) Board of Directors, 2019 she was elected President of the CAA. Currently Courtney is the Executive Director for the Colorado Dude & Guest Ranch Association (CDGRA), during her 11 years as Director of the association she has been responsible for all marketing campaigns, member and legislative outreach, grant requests, business partner outreach, and general administration for the association. Courtney is honored to hold these positions and to continue to be a voice for rural tourism in the state of Colorado.

Keynote Speaker, Amber Blake with City of Durango,
Assistant City Manager and Transportation Director

Title: National Civility Month, What is it and How You Want to be Involved
Amber Blake is the City of Durango’s Assistant City Manager and Transportation Director. Her duties include oversight of general government operations, public engagement initiatives, intergovernmental relations including state and federal legislative issues and partnerships with regional entities. She has direct responsibility for the Durango – La Plata County Airport, Human Resources, 911 Communications, Administrative Services, and Transportation departments. She serves as acting City Manager in the event of the Manager’s absence. She is the City’s ADA Coordinator and also serves as the staff liaison to Multimodal Advisory Board.
A native of Colorado, Amber has over 14 years of experience in local government and professional management, beginning her public sector career in Missoula, MT and Baltimore, MD before coming to Durango in 2009. She holds a Master of Arts in Geography and Community and Environmental Planning from the University of Montana and is a graduate of Villanova University. Amber is passionate about local government and is dedicated to promoting effective and efficient government operations, and an engaged civically minded community.

Director of International Tourism, Colorado Tourism Office

Session Title: Get More from the Colorado Tourism Office, Learn about the marketing opportunities and new tourism programs to help businesses succeed.
Andrea Blankenship currently serves as the Director of International Tourism for the Colorado Tourism Office (CTO). The international team works to market Colorado internationally to media, travel trade, and consumers. Moving into tourism was a natural fit for Andrea, who spent 21 years in the airline industry in Sales and Marketing. She began in 1994 with Lufthansa German Airlines as a Management trainee, and progressed into Sales Management. Andrea moved to Denver as District Sales Manager in 2001 to launch the first Lufthansa nonstop between Frankfurt and Denver. She completed her time with Lufthansa as acting General Manager of Canada and as District Sales Manager in New York City. In 2007, Andrea took the position of Director of Sales for Frontier Airlines in Denver, the position gave her exposure to online travel agency sales channels, distribution strategies, and marketing.
Andrea earned a degree in International Business Management and in German from St. Cloud State University, Minn. She completed her Executive MBA at the University of Denver in 2015. Her favorite activities are travel and all things Colorado.
